Wakayama castle

I have visited Wakayama Castle.
I visited Osaka Castle last time and was looking forward to seeing what the castle would be like this time.

Wakayama Castle is about eight minutes by bus from Wakayama Station.
There are many buses available, so it is a sightseeing spot that you can easily visit.
It is also a straight road from the station, so it may be fun to walk there as well.
Wakayama Station is a big station and from there it is just a straight walk down the main street to Wakayama Castle.

This time there were hardly any tourists, probably because it was out of season.
The castle is not immediately visible from the outside.
The castle is very beautiful and you can see it after climbing a surprisingly steep staircase.
There is also a great place for taking photos before approaching the castle.
There are about 30 steep steps to climb, but the view is spectacular and Wakayama Castle can be photographed very beautifully.

Autumn and winter are the best seasons for photography as the air is clear and the sky is very blue.

In spring, the cherry blossoms around Wakayama Castle will be in bloom, which will also be beautiful.

For more information, I have included a link to Wakayama Castle, but there are few language options, so please use google chrome's translate function to switch to your own language and enjoy.

Wakayama Prefecture is famous for its Wakayama ramen.
For a quick and easy way to enjoy Wakayama ramen, Marumi Shoten in the basement of Wakayama MIO at Wakayama Station is convenient.
As the restaurant is small, there is a possibility of sharing seats.
It may also be very cramped if you come with a large baggage.
It would be nice to have a larger shop, but there is no choice.
The Wakayama ramen is delicious, with thin noodles, pork bone and soy sauce soup and tender pork chashu.
However you may find the taste salty.
Try it once.

When you have finished your ramen, take the escalator back to ground level.
There you will find a coffee shop where you can take a break.
This is my favourite Tully's coffee. I used to make rubber stamps there.

I hope you enjoy Wakayama castle information.
Please visit there when you come to Japan!
